Twitter’s Advertising Sales Increased by 32%, But mDAU Didn’t Reach 200 Million People

The United States base social media giant Twitter announced the financial results of the first quarter (January-March period) on April 29 (local time). Revenue was $1.036 billion, up 28% year-over-year, and net earnings were $68 million (8 cents per share, 16 cents on a non-GAAP basis). The year-ago quarter was a deficit of $8.4 million. mDAU (the number of daily active users who viewed advertisements and generated revenue) increased by 20% to 199 million, a record high, but the rate of increase slowed down.
