The first rumors about a new Call of Duty game surfaced in March, which was about five months ago. According to them, the new Call of Duty installment would be titled WW2 Vanguard and would shift the plot to the Second World War. And, strangely enough, this prediction came true.
Then there were the debates, where some people still made mistakes. Some of the resources thought the actions would take place during World War II, but there was also a counter-argument. According to him, the events could take place in Korea in the 1950s or have an impact on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Or, more broadly, to broach the subject of a parallel history in which the Second World War continues.
Then there were months of silence until a leak in early August confirmed the name Vanguard and promised an announcement on August 19. It also mentioned three different game versions.
On August 13, a portion of the first Call Of Duty Vanguard teaser was leaked online. The studio retaliated with a meme, but a portion of the video was still available to view.
